Appointment Cancellations or Changes
We ask that you honor our strict 24-hour notice of cancellation or appointment change in the event another client may need that time. A fee equal to the amount of your scheduled treatment is required for all cancellations that do not meet the 24-hour policy. Please note that if your treatments are covered under insurance, you must pay this amount out of pocket – we cannot bill insurance for missed treatments. We understand that emergencies may arise, but please know that your session time is reserved exclusively for you.
Confidentiality
Your patient records and information will be kept confidential and shared only when necessary to provide care and services, or by your authorization, or when required or permitted by law.
Payment Methods
We accept Visa and Mastercard credit cards, checks, and cash.
Insurance
Your coverage may depend on what type of plan you have. Not sure if your insurance plan covers acupuncture benefits? Tell us your information, and we will find out for you. If you are shopping for health insurance, let the agent know you are interested in a plan that covers acupuncture.
If you will be using your insurance coverage to pay for acupuncture treatments, we must verify your coverage before your first visit or you will be asked to pay the out of pocket rate until acupuncture coverage is confirmed.
PPO Plans
We are contracted providers with most PPO plans, including Cigna, Sutter Health, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Aetna, United Healthcare, Health Net, etc.
HMO Plans
We unfortunately no longer accept HMO plans.
Auto Insurance
If you have any automobile accident related injuries, acupuncture treatments will be covered by your auto insurance if you have paid the medical premium or your own policy or if the accident was caused by the other party.
Worker’s Compensation
If you are involved work related injuries, your acupuncture treatments will be covered by worker’s compensation insurance. Authorization for acupuncture must first be approved your worker’s compensation insurance company.
HSA/FSA
If you have an HSA (Health Savings Account), through this account you will be able to pay for acupuncture services, herbal medicines, and supplements with pre-tax dollars.
If you have an FSA (Flexible Spending Account) through your employer, you are able to pay for acupuncture services, including co-payments. Herbal supplements, including some vitamins, may be reimbursable if they are a recommended treatment for a specific medical condition. We are happy to provide a letter of medical necessity for cases we specifically recommend herbs or supplements.
